  • How to Drastically Improve Your Audio Without Buying an Expensive Mic

    A microphone is a major tool when you are in podcasting, however, if you are just starting out or you just want to simply record, you don’t have to buy an expensive mic.  You can have quality audio with lesser expensive ones, but you need to do something in your environment to get the optimum audio results you want.  In this episode, Yann and I will lay down some tips that you can follow that will just do the tricks to improve on your audio.  In this episode:  The ten tips that will help you record high quality audio from your home: Check the logistics of your recording space. Record the silence for about 10 seconds and then listen for unusual sounds like AC running, then record with your voice for about 10 seconds and listen. It's better to record in a carpeted room but if it isn’t, place a towel on the floor. Use ethernet cables meaning hardwire your internet connections. Turn off other apps to save on bandwidth. Use a noise cancelling app. Record  with headphones. Know your microphones and the best distance you have between your mouth and the mic.  Know your setup. Put the mic on mute when not talking.
