À propos de cette écoute
Drawing on the wisdom of Buddhist teachings, illustrative stories and the transformative power of meditation, Tara guides us in healing the shame and fear that bind our hearts.
In the West, most of us have suffered the fear of not being 'good enough', feeling insecure about our appearance, our sexuality, our intelligence, our spiritual progress or - often most importantly - being worthy of love. When these feelings of insufficiency or self-aversion are strong, we fear abandonment and rejection. Many people have already found the Buddhist perspective on our emotional life to be extremely valuable - and this book will be a major practical contribution to the subject.

Calming and giving hope
I liked the book very much. Tara speaks so slowly, it's calming to listen to her voice. Her focus on opening the heart and accepting life as it is, is very spiritual and left me with a smile on my face and serenity in my heart. At the end of the book, I was happily surprised to hear her speak over and explain the Dzogchen meditation. This Buddhist meditation that I learned through my spiritual teacher, was the beginning of my wonderful path of enlightenment. Thank you Tara ❤️

Tara Brach’s heart is lost with the Narrator’s drone voice
I’ve tried over and over again to listen to this ebook. To the point of playing it at night so at least my subconscious would get the message…
I have been following Tara Brach’s teachings for years and her gentle, caring and at times openly vulnerable is part of her charm and why she can touch you so deeply.
I had such high hopes purchasing this book about her emblematic concept of radical acceptance followed by radical compassion but from the beginning I was irked by the disembodied reading
I have now come to accept (see the pun 😉) that I will never get to the end of it as I cannot enjoy it. I am hoping to return it and would advise everyone else to steer clear of narrations which are not by Tara Brach herself: learn from my mistake.
