  • Resorts Overview
    Dec 23 2024

In this episode I briefly go over the Resort options here on Walt Disney World property. There are hundreds of resorts in the Orlando area but I am just focusing on the ones owned & operated or those who have a relationship with Disney World and you can book on the Walt Disney World website.

There are different levels of resort: Deluxe, Moderate, Value, Deluxe Villas & Campgrounds. I go over the different resorts in each category here.

This episode is the first episode with Grouchy Dad! Grouchy Dad Paul Salvesen gives his unbiased and unfiltered opinion on the resort options here at Walt Disney World.

I hope you learned something new!

  • Tickets
    Dec 16 2024

    Hello!

In this episode I break down TICKETS! There are a lot of options in general (Disney World has a lot to offer!) but there are 5 main theme park ticket types: One Park Per Day, Water Parks & Sports Option, a Park Hopper, a Park Hopper Plus and Annual Passes. I talk about each of those ticket types, the prices and share a little bit of my opinions about them. I talk about a lot of other things in Disney World you'd need a ticket for besides the theme parks (Water Parks, Golf, Mini-Golf, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex). I discuss how you purchase the tickets and how you use them to enter your theme park or other event.

I’ve linked many links here in the show notes for you to gain more information.

I hope you learned something new!

  • My December Trip Report-Part 1
    Dec 13 2024

    Hello there!

I always find trip reports to be so informative-I learn so much from listening to others' trips so every time I go I will be sure to record updates throughout my days!

This trip I traveled with my immediate family: my husband Paul and our three children-twins Zac & Beau (4) and Luke (2). We are staying at Orange Lake Resort (more info below) from December 1-13th. Since we went for two weeks, I split up my Trip Report into 2 parts. Part 1 is December 1-8, 2024. Part 2 will pick up on the 8th and go to the 13th-our departure day.

We typically stay at Orange Lake Resort linked here. My in-laws and my husband and I are owners but you don't have to own to stay here. Often we rent weeks as well! We own a 2-bedroom villa and like it for long trips vs on property since it's so roomy, has in-room laundry, a full kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It has plenty of storage so for our large family we like this option for most stays.

We also attended the Very Merry Christmas Party which was our first time! We very much enjoyed it!

    I hope you enjoy!
