A collection of five classic TV novelisations: in Planet of Giants, England becomes a nightmare when an accident causes the TARDIS and its occupants to be reduced to miniature size. In The Massacre, the Doctor and Steven land in 16th Century Paris. In The Invasion, London has been infiltrated by International Electromatics. In The Horror of Fang Rock, the TARDIS lands on a foggy island beset by death and disaster. In Delta and the Bannermen, the Doctor and Mel are holed up in a Welsh holiday camp where several of the holidaymakers are not what seem.

The Doctor and Mel win a place on a Fabulous Fifties intergalactic Coach Tour to Disneyland. Knocked off course by a wayward satellite, the coach party arrives instead at Shangri-La, a remote Welsh holiday camp. The peace and quiet of the countryside are soon shattered by the arrival of an army of marauding Bannermen soldiers, led by the ruthless Gavrok. They are tracking down Delta, the Chimeron Queen, with only one thought in mind: her destruction.
