Dépaysant et émouvant
Un voyage avec Sam Heughan dans les Highlands écossaises et une réflexion sur sa vie personnelle et d’acteur. Les passages concernant son père sont vraiment émouvants.
Les mémos vocaux qu’il a enregistrés pendant sa randonnée apportent un plus par rapport au livre papier.

Enjoyable

It is an interesting book if you are a fan of Sam and want to know more about his challenges in his professional and private life. Sam has an entertaining voice so I would recommend the audiobook!

An inspiring journey
Listening to Sam’s voice tellîng me about his journey through the Scottish Highlands and reflecting on the main waypoints of his life so far, was a great experience. For non native English listeners, it is all the more intense as you have to focus even more to get the message accurately. I was all the more involved in Sam’s story, probably more than I would have, had I been reading the book (which I haven’t received yet). First and great Audible experience.

Really enjoyed the hike
Nothing better than a hike to reflect on one’s life and realize that the path is just as important as the goal. Well written, full of humor, I’m sure this West Highland Way will be crowded all seasons now. The beautiful descriptions of the wild Scottish landscape make us want to discover those places straight away. By reflecting on his one’s life Sam really make his way through ours, and make us think about commitments, purposes and achievements in a constructive way. Great adventure in every sense and great narration. Well done.

Beyond Appearances ! An inspiring discovery...
I discovered Sam Heughan in Outlander, a tv show I watched in fast-forward. At first, I thought :" He's good looking, like so many other actors." Out of Curiosity, I watched one of his interviews and thought:" He's a good salesman, nothing more. Clearly, he knows how to sell his products." Then, You Tube suggested an interview with Sam on The High Performance Circle. There, I was deeply moved. His life journey resonates with mine. He is simply endearing in many ways. Some people will read this book because they are huge fans of the actor. As for me, I recommend it to those who don't know him and who might be going through a difficult time in their lives, or who are on the verge of giving up a dream or a life project. This book is uplifting.
