Outstanding litterary work, good reading
Andy Serkis serves well this monument of litterature. Two things I did not like, though :
1) He SINGS the songs instead if reading them like poems. The trouble is, he sings off-tune a melody which is not that nice, making the poems and songs just awful to listen to. I skipped them, whereas I had found them so beautiful when I had read the book.
2) The voices of orcs and of Treebeard are just loathesome to listen to. I skipped them also.
Otherwise it is a goog performance.

What a journey!
The three LOTR audiobooks are long but thank you Andy Serkis! What a ride! This story is incredible and these audiobooks give it a new life. I loved reading the books, I love the movies and these audiobooks are now part of the family.

Gondor as Liverpool! Really?
The accents of the men of Gondor are a mess, and Pip also seems to flit between Scottish, Irish, and Liverpool, whereas in the first two it was sort of Scottish mostly. The accents are painful. It reminds me of Crowe's accent mess in Robin Hood. A Scouse Gondor... just.... why?
