In 1953, two monks in a monastery in the small town of Korsakov, Moldova, suddenly disappeared mysteriously; they were never found. Years after this, four boys playing in the courtyard of the monastery also disappeared. At the time of disappearance, all victims see the same thing: glowing green eyes.
Two years after Olivia Newton, journalist and adventurer, retired from an adventurer's life, she is visited by disheveled Russian scientist Alexander Olav. He tells her about the government's conspiracy to make the ultimate weapon. Olivia dismisses this man's claim, throws him out, and slips back into her quiet life until the man is murdered, and the documents that he once showed Olivia are missing.
