À propos de cette écoute
When an LAPD narcotics officer is found with a fatal bullet wound and a suicide note, Detective Harry Bosch follows a bloody trail of drug murders across the Mexico border.
Working on the case, LAPD detective Harry Bosch is reminded of the primal police rule he learned long ago: Don't look for the facts, but the glue that holds them together. Soon Harry's making some very dangerous connections, starting with a dead cop and leading to a bloody string of murders that wind from Hollywood Boulevard to the back alleys south of the border. Now this battle-scarred veteran will find himself in the center of a complex and deadly game - one in which he may be the next and likeliest victim.
Impressed? Ace detective Harry Bosch is also on the case in other exciting Michael Connelly crime-fiction novels.©1993 by Michael Connelly. (P)1993 Brilliance Audio, all rights reserved.Vous êtes membre Amazon Prime ?

An amazing plot and a change of narrator
Initially, adjusting to a new narrator was challenging. I was used to Titus Welliver's voice from the first book, so hearing Dick Hill, who sounded older, was unexpected. I had always pictured Harry Bosch differently. However, after just a couple of hours, I found myself captivated. Hill's narration brilliantly captures the story's ambiance.
The plot itself is captivating, with twists that are hard to identify. It's challenging to identify the exact timeframe of the story; while there's no mention of smartphones, they use typewritter, etc, it doesn’t feel dated, a testament to the quality of a great thriller.
To those hesitant because of the change in narrators after the first book: give it a chance. You might discover you are enthusiastic to purchase the next episode to dive deeper into Harry Bosch's world.
