Almost eight hours of indulgent fantasy, this audiobook is for those listeners who like their fantasy dark and a little morbid. The novel runs seven hours and 40 minutes of fast-paced and easy prose, prioritizes action and entertainment over literary depth. A fun escape from reality, with a fabulous narrator: Casey Holloway has increased the drama - if possible - with her nimble performance of the audio: She pauses at all the right moments, and adds delightful touches to each character's accent and pattern of speech.
