À propos de ce contenu audio

Mindful Race Talk' invites you into deep self-reflection about racial conditioning and racial harm. The foundation of the book is that we have all been socialized as racial beings and have a role in healing the racial harm that lives inside of us and in our society. Together, we'll engage in a variety of mindfulness and embodiment practices to help you explore your racial identity and increase your capacity to talk about race, racism, microaggressions, and white body supremacy. A guiding principle in the book is developing curiosity about your own socialization and triggers around the topic of race and moving away from inaction, shame, fear, unhealthy rage and polarization.

There are practical strategies in the book for:-increasing one's window of tolerance for talking about racism-holding contradictions and multiple truths-doing an intersectional power analysis-building cross racial solidarity-increasing interpersonal effectiveness for different stages of racial identity development-making repairs when needed-building an antiracist life-moving from 'not racist' or occasional allyship to being a disruptor or an accomplice to support antiracist outcomes-working towards individual and collective liberation
