À propos de cette écoute
Patrick MacRae had a habit of pigeonholing people and his four daughters were no exception. Rose was the smart one; Lily, the beauty; Violet, the sweet one; and Daisy was his athlete. Now two years after his death, the four sisters are still trying to work themselves out of the boxes he put them in.
Rose, the oldest of the four MacRae girls, hated being raised in a small town where everyone compared her to her sister Lily, a gorgeous fashion model. She couldn't move away fast enough. Now living in New York on the verge of having everything she ever wanted, her mother calls insisting that she come home. Certain that her boyfriend is going to propose, Rose refuses. It isn't that Rose doesn't love her family…the fact is she's building a new life and she doesn't want to go back to the place where she felt like the ugly duckling.
When Rose learns that her much-anticipated romantic weekend is cancelled, she decides that a short trip home may be 'just the ticket'. It will give her time to relax and regroup and hopefully it will give her boyfriend Charles time to rethink the future of their relationship. Rose arrives home to find things are anything but relaxing. She discovers her mother is living with a younger man and the family business is in shambles. Unfortunately Rose doesn't know who to blame for the mess because her mother is in the hospital with amnesia insisting that the year is 1983. Rose has no choice but to stay on in New Layne long enough to get everything back on track. As her mother struggles to regain her memories, family secrets come to light; secrets that cause Rose to realize that she didn't know her mother, her sisters, or even herself, as well as she thought she did.
