À propos de cette écoute
While the title Glorious Bastards may be rough for some, it is a wake-up call to receive a Fathering from God that supersedes anything our earthly Fathers could offer. Being born again of the Spirit of God offers us the right roles of Kings, Priests, Warriors, and Lovers when living in the Holy Spirit of God. This grace changes everything! Our hope for this book is that you might invite this Fathering as an adopted child and a joint heir of the Kingdom of God.
May your Fathered by God adventure begin now!
In an era where the very foundations of family and faith are under scrutiny, spiritual war, division, and public shame, Glorious Bastards reminds us that we are all, by default, born into sin and subject to the Father of lies.
The Bible describes this fallen angel, who is called the prince of the power of this world, in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28.
Great News! The Father and Designer of our Soul offers us a new holy family and a purpose that is glorious. You can be completely Un-Bastard-ed, by the grace of God, by faith right now, by being born again into the Kingdom of God.
We who are born a second time, not by the flesh, but by the HOLY SPIRIT through the blood of Christ, are now in a new childlike faith relationship with our heavenly Father.
The Shame and Misunderstanding of 'Bastard'...
The word "bastard" carries a heavy weight of shame, yet this shame is not inherent to the child described by the term but rather reflects the negligence of the Father. In historical and contemporary contexts, the term "bastard" has been used to denote a child born out of wedlock, carrying with it societal stigma and often unjust shame placed upon the innocent. This shame, however, overlooks the crucial absence of a present, loving father—a role that is not just biological but profoundly spiritual and emotional. The real tragedy lies not in the circumstances of birth but in the missed opportunity for fatherly guidance, care, and stewardship.
In examining the term from a Christian perspective, every child is an image bearer of God, designed to reflect His glory through their lives. When the fatherly presence is absent, the child misses the vital reflection of God's fatherly love and stewardship. This absence speaks volumes about the failures of human fathers rather than the legitimacy or worth of the child. Therefore, the term "bastard" should prompt a deeper reflection on the societal and individual responsibility to emulate God's unconditional love and support for all His children rather than serve as a label that carries shame.
