Whether self-knowledge is a decision to mature or even if it is a decision for us to be recognised by our environment, the variety of the subject-matter proposes introspections with a view to understanding. For there is a crucial distinction between what one knows and what one has established as a position.
Led astray by formulas of improvement, human beings lose the strength of their established position. The established position is derived from the essence of their ETHOS and not from the achievement of expediencies for survival.
