Becca Wilson runs Virginia’s, the family diner named after her late mother. When her father, Sam, reveals their financial struggles, the threat of losing the diner looms over Christmas. Enter Dalton Jackson, Becca’s long-lost ex, who offers to help as he navigates his own crossroads in the country music world.
Becca enters a Christmas Pie Bake-Off Contest with a $100,000 prize—enough to save the diner. But rival Kaleigh wants to buy it for a development project, creating tension. Becca convinces Sam to wait on Kaleigh's offer until after the competition, but losing means they will have to sell.
As Becca and Dalton's relationship rekindles, he lands a gig at the prestigious Ryman Auditorium just before the bake-off, jeopardizing both their romance and her chances of winning.
