À propos de cette écoute
Enchantingly read by Cynthia Erivo.
The earth-shattering and magical epic finale to the Legacy of Orïsha trilogy: Children of Anguish and Anarchy by the New York Times-bestselling author Tomi Adeyemi.
New allies rise.
The Blood Moon nears.
Zélie faces her final enemy.
The king who hunts her heart.
When Zélie seized the royal palace that fateful night, she thought her battles had come to an end. The monarchy had finally fallen. The maji had risen again. Zélie never expected to find herself locked in a cage and trapped on a foreign ship. Now warriors with iron skulls traffick her and her people across the seas, far from their homeland.
Then everything changes when Zélie meets King Baldyr, her true captor and the man who has ravaged entire civilizations to find her. The ruler of the Skulls, Baldyr’s quest to harness Zélie’s strength sends Zélie, Amari, and Tzain searching for allies in foreign lands.
But as Baldyr closes in, catastrophe charges Orïsha’s shores. It will take everything Zélie has to face her final enemy and save her people before the Skulls annihilate them for good.

The voice was OK unfortunately the story just isn't up to par with the first two books
In the first book, there was a reason believable enough to the reader, when Zélie made stupid décisions. In this book all her decisions just feels stupid and unjustified. It feels like reading the book of another character and not the same Zelie. I'm highly disappointed, the first two books were great but I sincerely regret purchasing this. The story line is shoddy, the character development from the first two books is thrown out the window and we are met with strange new people bearing the names of our favourite characters. I honestly wished she would have stopped at the second book because it's sad to see such a promising author lose her way. My comment might be mean but I just had so much hope for this book. As a fellow nigerian, I was so happy about the representation in Children of blood and bone, and with the third book Tomi took all my hope and expectation and threw it in the thrash just to publish a book. I actually care about the story, you're not allowed to change ideas at the end and release a crappy book for your fans. Honestly don't read this, it's such a huge waste of time.
