David Ely delivers a moving and vividly realized performance of this heartbreaking short story by writer Ambrose Bierce. “Chickamauga” depicts a battle during the American Civil War. The twist? It’s told from the viewpoint of a child who becomes lost in a forest while pretending to fight an imaginary foe. He falls asleep near a stream and wakes to find a group of soldiers creeping on their hands and knees like babies in the desolate landscape.
