    No long-term solutions in this book, only dubious quick fixes

    The author of this book starts by reiterating the obvious ties of adults’ psychological problems to their childhood (duh…), proceeds with shaming white people and herself for being white (thanks, just what I needed in a self-help book…), suggests the readers to submerge their heads in ice-cold water for a minute (what?!), and ends with ASMR… O_O

    Yes, important issues are being raised in this book, but the only advice the author provides is: “You feel bad? It’s okay!”, or “Breathe!”, or the cold water thing. There are no actual long-term solutions to any of your problems.

    I don’t recommend this book.
