I was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1962. My mother immigrated from County Mayo, Ireland and my father was a native New Englander. This is my first book, and it actually came through me in just about six weeks time. I have always had a constant yearning to share how I work with people, although to write a book in "English", which never felt like my first language, was a bit of a stretch. Energy, has always been my language of choice. The truth was I hadn't gotten quiet enough until now, to allow these words the time or space to flow through me. I chose a career in western medicine as I was well equipped on how to play things safe, sticking with the more "acceptable" route in medicine. My souls longing to awaken, has pretty much dictated the course of my journey. I always knew I was called to assist people—to learn, heal and grow—so my understandings and exploration on various healing modalities is now ready to share! This book is my journey with the 5 Elements of Chinese medicine, and sprinkled in are the cases and experiences of the ways in which I see and work with people. Enjoy!
