The Upper World

During arguably the worst week of Esso’s life, an accident knocks him into an incredible world — a place beyond space or time, where he can see glimpses of the past and future. But if what he sees there is true, he might not have much longer to live, unless he can use his new gift to change the course of history.

2020: Close to getting expelled and caught up in a deadly feud, the tensions surrounding Esso seem to be leading to a single moment in a Peckham alleyway that could shatter his future. 2035: Stripped of everything, football prodigy Rhia has just one thing left on her mind - figuring out how to avert a bullet that was fired 15 years in the past. With her mentor, Dr Esso, by her side, eighteen-year-old Rhia is determined to make her mark on the hallowed halls of Oxford University – and put the Upper World behind her. But that’s all easier said than done when in her first week she overhears talk of the world ending. And when an invite drops under her door to a secret and exclusive society called the Ravens, Rhia must decide whether she’ll join the cult-like group to unearth the truth. Can the Ravens provide answers about earth's impending doom? Or will joining the group open Pandora’s box? Rhia is about to find out . . .
