Eternity is too long to go without getting any. Companionship these days is easier to get, thanks to the internet. What’s harder is getting someone you can genuinely connect to, not only through a screen but in person.

Three wolf shifters have put in a construction bid for the complex, and Callan's keen to hire them but Jack's being a bit weird when they're mentioned. Spot's on the case to find out what's up so Callan won't start brooding. He might not feel like ordering sushi for him!

I'm trying very hard to be patient. He's new to this world and is only now fully exploring his dream of being Little. Spot doesn't believe in coincidences, not at all. So when Ishii's has to shut down for six weeks to remodel after a fire, and a new Italian restaurant opens in the plaza, he smells something rotten, and it's not out-of-date sushi. The fire inspector claims it was an accident due to an employee's careless cigarette, and with both Ishii and Master Callan accepting that, Spot can't get anyone to look deeper. There's nothing for it. He will have to learn how to look for clues like a pro and sniff out the real culprit for himself.

Jack's been keeping a secret from his friends...Tom is in the hospital, but not for a physical injury. He's stuck in wolf form, unable to shift back! When Tom is released, Jack has no option but to come clean. He loves Tom with all his ears, even if they can't secure their bond yet. He knows that somehow, they will find a way to help Tom shift back.

Tom and Jack are ready to settle down, certain that Tom's shifting problems wil come to an end soon with the help of the medical mages. Their lives are further upended, though, when not just the Council take interest in Master Callan's future plans to try for the vampire throne.
