Death of the Party

Transported from her normal life as a waitress, Sally finds herself in a terrifying new world where Monsters fight Players to the death. But which one is she? A System error means she's been split between both, crossing the line between the soulless zombies created by the System and the people brought here by the mysterious Architect.

In a world in which Players fight Monsters to the death for loot and experience, Sally has managed to survive as a half-Monster/half-Player glitch in the System. With the help of her fellow Unique Monsters, she gained acceptance from the System, and they forged towns of their own in the Forest area, allowing them to live in peace without the constant threat of Players. And if there's any trouble, Sally can eat their brains. That's always fun. But as she heads for the second area to defeat the System and bring about more peace, Sally finds even bigger problems plaguing the world.

A half-Monster/half-Player glitch in a System in which Monsters and Players are meant to fight to the death, Sally has just woken from a coma in the Wastelands after defeating the Architect who created it all. She's now liberated two areas of the game world from the soulless, zombie-creating System, allowing Unique Monsters to live in peace. With her sidekicks—Humphrey the glitched skull/Druid; Theo the rebellious vampire/Death Knight; Norah the mummy; and Lucius the emoji-speaking demon—at her side, Sally's working to complete Keystone Quests and climb to Level Twenty.
