Despite the challenges of everyday life one thing that endures is family. Listen in on this “kitchen table” discussion with my mother, her brothers and sister as they share about their experiences growing up in a working class family of a mother, father and six children in Philadelphia in 1950s, 60s and 70s. Where the difference between the youngest and oldest is 9 years you will hear the family dynamic at that time, positive and negative, what it was like during that time from coal to heat the house and even needing to heat hot water, how it molded them into who they are today and the impact it made on how they raised their children. There is truly learnings in the struggle that leads to success.
