The Mermaid Inn in Rye has stood for centuries, serving everyone from royalty to criminals.

If you’re going out looking for ghosts in the UK, a medieval castle is a great place to start; and with Warwick Castle’s long and bloody history, you may get more than you bargained for.

Even the Earl of Warwick’s family, the Grevilles, claimed to encounter unexplainable goings-on while the castle was their family home; and even now the castle is a major tourist attraction, the ghostly residents from centuries ago are still making their presence known.

The Morfa Colliery disaster in Wales on the 10th of March, 1890 took the lives of 87 miners, but the death toll could have easily been far higher.

Almost half of the colliers scheduled to work that morning hadn’t come in for their shift, with some claiming that is was because of reports of paranormal activity within the mine in the leadup to the disaster that warned them of impending doom…

There’s an AVRO Lincoln B2 bomber aircraft on display at the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands in Cosford, and she’s a great example of the aircraft that came into service too later for World War 2.

But with RF398 in particular, there are some strange goings on reported around her, leading some people to think that she may be haunted…
