Welp, this one took a while, but Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays whatever you may or may not celebrate Avs Faithful. Some teams are naughty but the Avs are oh so nice this year being gifted with a new goaltending tandem and depth contributions from across the board. There's a lot to look forward to in the new year.

It has not been the brightest week of hockey for either of the Colorado Avalanche or San Jose Sharks. There have been close losses, unlucky losses, and just straight losses. But there are some bright spots. Macklin Celebrini and Nikolai Kovalenko can't stop scoring goals and Mackenzie Blackwood can't stop saving goals. Keep your heads up Avs fans, there is still lot's of hockey left in the season.

It is official. As Captain Avalanche Cory so beautifully predicted, all on his own with no help, the Colorado Avalanche have traded for Mackenzie Blackwood. Thus solidifying their new goaltending tandem going forward. Get hyped Avs fans, if this early showing is anything, we have a lot to look forward to. The Avs went 4 for 5 on a long road trip. So that's cool too.
