HAPPY PRIDE MONTH, OH MY DAYS! Today I am talking about a small part of what can constitute pride (month) as a queer person: nightclubs, alcohol and all that jazz. Of course pride is more than that; it's about resistance, education, learning about those who came before us and trying our best to make the world a better place for those coming after us. However, a big part of our community within and next to those elements is celebration and being together, which often times comes with drinks that are flowing. How can alcohol be queered?

With her work, Ahmed has put something into words I have felt for a while and goes into feeling like the humourless feminist, the nerves it costs to take on that role and the meaning of solidarity between feminist killjoys.
