Two Best-Selling Agatha Christie Novels in One Great Audiobook
The Secret Adversary
From the brilliant pen of Agatha Christie comes the first novel in her Tommy and Tuppence mystery series featuring the beloved sleuthing duo - now a movie on both Acorn TV and PBS.
Tommy and Tuppence are young, in love...and flat broke. Restless for excitement, they decide to embark on a daring business scheme: Young Adventurers Ltd. - "willing to do anything, go anywhere." But they get more than they bargained for when their first assignment for the sinister Mr. Whittington draws them into a diabolical conspiracy.
It isn’t long before they find themselves plunged into more danger than they ever could have imagined - a danger that could put an abrupt end to their business...and their lives.
And Then There Were None
A PBS Great American Read Top 100 Pick
One of the most famous and beloved mysteries from the queen of suspense, Agatha Christie! More than 100 million copies sold and now a Lifetime TV movie.
Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a isolated mansion on Indian Island by a host, who, surprisingly, fails to appear. On the island, they are cut off from everything but each other and the inescapable shadows of their own past lives. One by one, the guests share the darkest secrets of their wicked pasts. And one by one, they die.... Which among them is the killer, and will any of them survive?

Very Worthwhile!
There are actually two very distinct novels by Agatha Christie in a single audio offering.
Completely different from works featuring Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple, “The Secret Adversary” may be compared to John Buchan’s works. It tells a series of adventures, with twists as frequent as they lack verisimilitude. Yet, the result is fun, even exciting to a large extent. It is suitable for a wide audience, including pre-teenagers. First published in 1922, it is surprisingly modern with Tuppence, the lead female character, having little to do with how women were portrayed a few decades earlier, in Victorian times.
Also different from conventional detective novels is “And Then There Were None”, a very famous work whose initial title was changed due to evolving sensibilities. Once again, the plot is anything but realistic, including the beginning where eight strangers accept a free stay on a remote island from someone they never met and the lack of reference to any uneasiness from sleeping in a house sheltering a certain number of corpses, each in its own room. The peculiarity is that each of the characters is at once potential victim and perpetrator as well as amateur detective. Though the course of events is heralded from the start with a nursery rhyme, there is definite suspense throughout as to how it will materialize and how it came to be.
The narrator is different for each novel but in each case very professional.
Overall, this entertaining proposition is highly advisable to all who enjoy classic thrillers
